Who Else Wants A Nicer Butt?

There is nothing I hate more than putting on a pair of skinny jeans and they fit perfectly in the leg but got space in the back; except when swimsuit bottoms sag. That is a sign that your butt is not a round as it could be.

Many people are on the search for the perfect bum, which is not necessarily defined by size but also the shape and perkiness that adds a certain swagger to the walk whether in jeans, slacks or a bikini.

Like me, your butt may be 70-80 percent on the way to great but could do with that extra lift to fill out your pants just right.

There are several means of achieving this feat. Combining a dedicated exercise regime will help you create the butt you are dreaming of as well as improve your overall health and fitness.

Girl lunging

Lunges are excellent for shaping your derrière.

  1. Squat like your life depended on it. This is one of the best ways to sculpt a behind that fills out your jeans just right. The exercise builds the gluteal muscles that make up the butt, providing a nice lift to your bottom and making you happy you invested the time and energy. No worries about being bored; there are a number of ways to vary this exercise and to target different areas of the butt. For example, regular squat, leg squat, lateral squat and the seat squat.

  2. 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... Lunge – This is another exercise that is simple to do with a number of variations to keep you occupied and work varying areas of the muscle. Front, side, back or walking lunges all strengthen the butt and are great full body exercises as well.

  3. Burpees are the devil but they are very effective for building the butt area and achieving that perfect swimsuit body from top to bottom (pun intended :D). Be mindful though that they are not for the faint of heart.

  4. Step-ups help you achieve a better butt. These will give you a butt with the strength of a mountain climber’s as well as the lift. Add manageable weights to increase the difficulty and maximise the results.

  5. Stair-running or climbing – I hate these exercises but they are great activities for the butt and indeed the body as they are aerobic, work the whole body and contribute to the behind I am longing for.

These are just a few of the exercises that work well to help you craft a behind you will be proud of. Be mindful though that the results may not show right away but keep going and interchanging these exercises, even adding more as you find them. The investment is worth it, not just for your butt and your self-esteem but for your whole body too.
